OUR STORY
Reese Calder spent a decade in kitchens where a dish took twelve steps and looked flawless for the camera before anyone tasted it. The turning point came somewhere unglamorous — a backyard fire pit, no recipe.
"No gas backup, no shortcuts. Just wood, timing, and a trained eye."
Chef Reese Calder

THE STORY BEHIND THE FLAME
Ember started with a simple idea: food tastes better around fire.
Not the rushed kind. The slow kind. The kind that fills a room and brings people closer to the table instead of further from it. Every dish here passes through live flame, wood smoke, or hot coals before it reaches you. It's how we build flavor, and it's why nothing on this menu feels ordinary.
We built Ember for people who want more than a meal. Long tables. Shared plates. Conversations that stretch past dessert. This isn't fine dining trying to impress you. It's good food, done right, meant to be gathered around.
That's the whole philosophy, really. Gather around flavor. Gather around each other.

A decade in fine dining taught Reese precision. A backyard fire pit taught them to trust it.
